New project aimed at increasing the competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises in Europe

Triple Steelix in COSME project.

A 2-year project, “PIMAP”, funded to 75% of the EU’s COSME program, aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of SMEs in Europe has begun.

The French cluster Alpha-RLH are the coordinators and Triple Steelix participates with Joensuu Science Park (Finland) and Produtech, Portugal. The goal is to become competitive enough to reach global markets. USA and Canada are the target areas of the project, which deals with the use of photonics (sensors, instruments, based on e.g. optics and microwave technology, etc.) for example: process control, quality control, process control, digitalisation and analysis within amongst others the steel and engineering industries.
